Dr. Miller has been performing Gastrointestinal Endoscopy since 1994, and she received training on Rigid Endoscopy in 2009. Gastrointestinal endoscopy is used to examine the inside of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon. This procedure is less traumatic and less painful than abdominal exploratory surgery if you need to remove a foreign body or biopsy tumors. The rigid scope can be used for cystoscopy, vaginoscopy, rhinoscopy and laryngoscopy.
